Let me just say that yesterday is in my top five best days EVER. It was just awesome. [info]angiechan070707 amused ourselves on the way to Myrtle Beach, then had nummy food at Planet Hollywood. We'd eaten there on my birthday but she didn't get up to look around and as it turns out there was stuff I missed that I saw this time. She also got a picture of me from behind looking at the Leonardo costume since I was wearing a tank top again and I never got to see the picture someone else took like that.

From there we walked around and did a little shopping, which we probably shouldn't have but oh well. >_> There was a David and Goliath store, how could we pass that up? I got socks, stickers to put on my laptop and a "rock is dead, long live paper and scissors" lanyard for work. I also got sushi earrings at Claires and some post its at another store that was made of awesome. The best part of the shopping excursion was taking pictures in one of those little photo booths though. X3 I now have a little strip of stupidly silly pictures of me and Laura to put in my cubicle at work. 8D

Oh yes, and then there was this:

We didn't go in, but we were sorta "uh..." to see that there. XD

After an adventure with the GPS (affectionately called Gupus) we finally got to the House of Blues and stood outside for an hour. Again, I was in a tank top so it was kind of cold but I survived. It wasn't too bad for most of it, but it got colder before we went in. x_x We were also standing behind people who were smoking, which sucked but ah well.

Once inside Laura found us an awesome place to stand that wasn't on the floor (oh hell no, we're both little people!) but was still close. It's definitely way closer than I was at KoRn and MCR and we considered the spot pretty damn awesome. The only bad part about it was the obnoxious drunk guy who stood in front of us. We could see past him but... well, he was obnoxious and drunk, and got more obnoxious and drunk as we waited for AFI to play. I think pretty much everyone around him was getting sick of him really, and whenever I screamed for the band I made sure to get as close to his ear as possible 'cause I'm an ass. 8D But a sober ass!

Concert review... sorta )

The quest for food ended up being more difficult than expected. IHOP was getting ready to close so we figured we'd just go to the Denny's down the road. But of course when we got there we saw they were closed for remodeling. -_- So Laura used the mighty Gupus to find another Denny's and we listened to Basshunter and tried not to talk too much on the way there. Some water (and cappuccino) later my throat finally started to feel like it wasn't trying to kill me anymore. Yay! The Denny's we went to didn't have a veggie burger but they had some incredibly wintastic onion rings and our waiter was awesome. Seriously, could the night get any better?

On the way home I started counting churches to keep myself focused. I have issues with falling asleep in the car, and at 2:00 am it'd be even more possible. So I scanned for deer (saw one! It was so cute!) and churches as we battled the mighty fog. It was dark so I know we missed a bunch of churches since we could basically just look for the lit up signs, but even with missing some we found 38 in about two and a half hours. Churches. We have them.

We got home and were tired but didn't want to go to bed right away so we fiddled on our laptops and watched an episode of ANTM, then went to bed. Like I said, it was easily one of the top five best days EVER. <3

Today I don't feel nearly as bad as I expected, aside from being tired. I've been having issues sleeping in for a while now (my body won't let me no matter how late I went to bed) so I only got about four hours of sleep. But I can have some caffeine later at least.

And now I end this with some cell pictures of vaguely AFI shaped blobs. XD There was no way I was going to try and get one of my real cameras in there, and my cell camera sucks (which is a shame, because I love the phone otherwise) but the pictures still make me happy. They're my memories~! And they're vaguely AFI shaped. X3

Ooooh vaguely! )

Fox! Meet Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, one of two patches made to fix flaws in Frank's program. Technically since they were all created by the same person, O'Malley, Frank, Fox and Three are all siblings. But where Frank sees O'Malley as more of an annoying little brother, she looks at Fox and Three almost like her daughters after a while. Tycho is just thrilled with that, I'm sure. X3

an exhausting day so far. not terrible, but not particularly good. i thought it was worse than it actually was until i reflected on it now...
lately i have been having this feeling that i am an unlikable person. that i am too loud, or say the wrong things... that people don't want to be around me... and this may just be me being paranoid. but it feels as if i am not pleasing people, when i so desperately want to please people (one of my faults).

How long have you've liked deco-den?: A little while, actually. I'd stumble upon pictures every now and then and think "oh, how cute!"
How did you find out about deco-den?: Just randomly, but I didn't really know exactly what it was until a friend of mine showed it to me.
List some of the things you've decorated: I just finished my iPod nano cover today! It's my first project.

Pictures! )

I know one friend of mine who will cringe when I say this but... Sometimes when out and about, I have to whip out out a lipstick or powder, to top up the color or tame some shine. These two things can be done in a way that is as pretty as the way you hold your fan or parasol!

I've recently gone back to wearing red lipstick, and was looking for a brand that is as pretty in the tube as on my lips (red lipstick always seems to need attention). I might have just found it! Kinda been wanting to try Besame cosmetics for a while, and might be ready to take the plunge.

I always feel kind of awkward if I pull out a less than chic looking piece of makeup packaging in public. I love my Maybeline (I was not born with it) but it feels un-glamorous in my hands. Beautiful packaging like these make me feel pretty just holding them when I need to rescue my makeup after it all ends up on my scone!

I know the Edwardians went in through a backdoor when they wanted to buy their cosmetics, but the decadent beauties of the 1920's Jazz age made it something to be positively proud of! Any one else proud to plaster? and what cosmetic packaging do you guys feel happy to be seen in public with?

So first off so sorry guys for totally slacking on posts. School's been ruthless to me and I'm sure everyone else at Oktavia and well anywhere can agree in some way or another. This is going to be brief (cause I'm in Penn's Library and feel weird blogging when everyone else in researching quantum mechanics), but none the less I'm back with a post on Terrain at Styers new online shop!. Just in time for the holidays. For some reason my computer won't save an image of it but you can by a log that sprouts shitake mushrooms for up to 4 years!

I spent part of the morning doing a bit of early Christmas shopping on the Republic of Tea website. They have so many interesting teas that I kept finding "one more thing" to add to my order, both for gifts & myself. Shopping for gifts there in the wintertime is dangerous, because that's the time of year that I get away from feeling like drinking coffee & want lots of different tea drinks. I love their teas, both for the flavors & for the fact that a lot of their tasty herbal combinations are chamomile-free. I'm horribly allergic to chamomile & it seems to be a major ingredient in the formulas of a lot of herbal teas in other major brands. I'm looking forward to my package arriving with my holiday tea supply....

A.

I love blood oranges & they have some teas flavored with blood orange this year. Hooray!

Hello everyone *waves* I've been lurking in the shadows absorbing all the loveliness of this place... until now! I just wanted to share some neat links that I think are pretty fitting for this month's theme!
If anyone is not aware of the online British Food Shop I would definitely go take a look around. They have all sorts of tasty looking teas, food and other goodies. Here's one of my favorite things to have at tea parties (or even just for me :3)

It's a bit late, but... November 5th in England is Guy Fawkes day (it's a real holiday, not something that was just made up for V for Vendetta) and as an English ex-pat it's something I always kinda miss living in America. The good news is whilst I can't have fireworks, I can have bonfire toffee!!!

Recipe under here!... )</div>.</div>
